Skills & Qualifications me underwater

Sue has been diving since 1988 and has full HSE media diving qualifications. She worked for five years in Jersey as a PADI diving instructor and has over two thousand logged dives. Sue has been taking stills underwater for over 20 years and began filming underwater in 1998.

Sue has been working with her own digibeta camera for the past six years and has a basic working knowledge of sound work.

Through her own programme making she has six years of research, production and post production experience including editing with her own Media 100 suite. (She freely admits that editing her own footage has sharpened up her camera skills and recommends it to all photographers!) Other skills developed since photographing, producing and presenting two series of Wild Islands include being able to film herself underwater!

Sue owns her own digibeta camera for topside work with a standard lens and Satchler tripod. Her pride and joy is her mega long, image stabilized, high def long lens, a SONY FUJI HA42X13.5.

For underwater work Sue uses her own Sony FX1 in an Amphibo housing with Green Force lights. She also has various small cameras for pole cam or bird box work as well as broadcast standard sound recording equipment.
